USED (Mint Condition) - Gibson launched the J-160E in 1954. An unusual hybrid for its time, it looked like a regular flat-top acoustic, but was fitted with an electric guitar-type pickup and controls. It could be used unplugged as a regular acoustic guitar for songwriting on the road, for example, or plugged in on stage or in the studio. Today it's remembered as one of John Lennon's favorite guitars to use on Beatles recordings, This Limited Edition Gibson Custom Shop model replicates the J-160E Lennon used both live and in the studio.
This guitar is all original and is in mint condition. The finish is in great condition with no checkering, and no noticeable nicks or scratches. The neck feels and plays great, with very little, to no wear on the fingerboard and frets. The binding is in beautiful condition, with no cracking. The guitar overall plays and sounds great! This guitar comes with its original hardshell case.
