VINTAGE - Introduced in 1948, the Gibson ES-175 quickly became the most popular jazz guitar ever made. The twin pickup ES-175D debuted in 1953, and this guitar is from the very first year of that version. The guitar has a solid mahogany neck, solid Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, arched maple top and back with the original sunburst finish, dual-parallelogram mother of pearl fingerboard inlay and crown peghead inlay, triple bound top, and bound back.
It has a 16-inch body size at lower bout and a 24 ¾ inch scale length. The nut width is 1 11/16. This guitar has all original hardware, twin P-90 pickups and electonics, nickel Kluson Deluxe single-line single ring tuners, beveled 5 ply pickguard, adjustable compensated Brazilian rosewood bridge, raised parallelogram trapeze tailpiece, 3 way toggle switch, gold barrel control knobs. Includes its original Gibson brown Lifton case.
