For the back of each guitar, we carefully choose the most exotic Wild Grain East Indian Rosewood, no two sets of this rare wood are the same. East Indian Rosewood is also used for the sides and are color matched to the back. The headstock headplate uses the same Wild Grain East Indian Rosewood to match the back. Specially selected tone wood tops are chosen with different combinations of appointments and inlays which makes each Martin Custom Shop Fab Gear model guitar unique. This coupled with Martin’s 188-year history as the oldest and most experienced guitar manufacture in the world, with the know-how and expert craftsmanship of the Martin Custom Shop master luthiers make for the finest guitar that can be built.
