The authentic late '50s “D”-shaped neck profile offers an instantly familiar playing experience that feels natural in your hands, while the 7.25" radius fingerboard with vintage-tall frets ensures supreme comfort and outstanding feel. At its heart, three meticulously crafted late '50s spec'd pickups capture the bright, singing tones that established Fender's reputation during this pivotal era. The vintage-style synchronized tremolo system provides effortless pitch manipulation, while period-correct vintage-style tuning machines deliver authentic looks with superior tuning precision.
Embrace the authentic vintage spirit and legendary sound of Vintera® III – where every detail tells the story. A classic Fender tonewood known for resonance, punch and clarity, alder has a balanced and lively tone with beefy mids and a robust low-end. The 7.25” radius fingerboard provides vintage comfort and feel, while vintage-tall frets provide slightly more height than vintage for big bends and wide vibrato. This unique '50s shape has slightly wider shoulders and starts off slim at the nut, thickening moderately toward the 12th fret. These vintage-style late ‘50s spec pickups are full of the woody warmth and bell-like, crystalline tone that made Fender instruments famous. One of Fender’s most innovative designs, this six-point tremolo offers proper intonation, full adjustability and easy access to classic vibrato sounds. These tuning machines offer the look and feel of vintage machines with a finer gear ratio and enhanced tuning stability.
