I find myself at times on stage with the lights down struggling with a bass that has no fret markers. So,I thought it would be cool to team up with the Hofner Custom Shop to create a new Hofner 500/1 Stage Model. The Hofner 500/1 Limited Edition Stage Model Beatle Bass in Fab Gear Lemon Burst is built by the Hofner Custom Shop, exclusively for Andy Babiuk’s Fab Gear. Every detail was scrutinized to be as accurate as possible to Paul McCartney’s famous Hofner Beatle bass with the added feature of a bound neck and fret markers to make it easier for musicians to play on stage. We have made a limited run of these cool basses in a Fab Gear Lemon Burst which looks amazing! Each Hofner 500/1 Stage Model Fab Gear Lemon Burst is hand numbered and comes with a Hofner deluxe tweed hardshell case, certificate of authenticity, Hofner warranty / paperwork, a replica of Paul’s original leather strap and an autographed copy of Andy's book “Beatles Gear: All The Fab Four’s Instruments From Stage to Studio – The Ultimate Edition”!
